He was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Springfield, Ohio, and came to Port Charlotte 17 years ago from Cincinnati. He retired in 1980 after 26 years as a flight safety expert for General Electric in Cincinnati. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10178 and Elks Lodge 2378, both in Englewood. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Survivors include his wife, Laura; a daughter, Lisa A. of Kent, Wash.; two sons, Frank D. of Redmond, Wash., and Stephen P. of Cincinnati; and 10 grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens. Englewood Community Funeral Home is in charge.
